3D Printed Colander

Inspired by Fibonacci spirals, this project explores a shape register made possible by additive manufacturing and its specificities (no mold needed). The vortex travels the space to draw the object in a single movement : a wink to the natural swirling flow of the water.

Mono-material (Biocompatible Polyamide - PA12) made in SLS 3D Printing (Selective Laser Sintering).

Parametric Design

3D printing is not limited to the production of complex shapes, it also questions the design process of an object : defining and mastering the generation parameters of an evolving system. This approach, called "parametric design", is one of the focus of our studio. We are able to handle the entire design process : from parametric modeling research to file production for additive manufacturing.
